The three-day expo, organized by the Ocean and Fisheries Bureau of Xiamen, lasted till November 5th. It provided 560 international standard booths for 150 exhibitors from home and abroad, showcasing a broad selection of recreational fishery and aquarium products
Covering 11,000 square meters, this year’s expo featured five specialized zones: a recreational fishing village, recreational fishing activities, water sports, water-based tourism, and an ornamental aquarium. In addition, exhibitors are also offering experiential activities, including diving, canoeing, parent-child shrimping, and making a DIY marine music box.
The expo was first launched in 2008 and has, since then, become a leading platform for the communication and cooperation of the recreational fishing industries between the Chinese mainland and other countries and regions.
This year’s expo received high praise from Ahmed Ali, an exhibitor from the Maldives, who runs a hotel at Dhiffushi, North Male’ Atoll. He said the expo provides a good opportunity for him to communicate with other exhibitors and visitors and find potential partnership.
